AFTRA

Although blind from birth, Ken as a seven-year-old boy vowed "I'll be an announcer when I grow up". He has succeeded. Now his voice is heard from coast to coast, into Europe and south to Latin America: a voice with a silken bass, sober baritone and athletic zeal.

A graduate of Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind and Gadsden State Junior college with an associate degree in broadcasting, he got his first radio job as a DJ, then worked as a color commentator for high school football games.

Does he worry about getting the copy just right, Ken appearing to make eye contact although born without eyes, says, "Darn right. Braille pages cost 5-dollars a sheet".
